From November to March, the desert and the sea come alive in Kuwait. This circle is for people who want company on winter camping trips, desert drives and days out on the coast and islands.
Where people do this in Kuwait City
- The desert camping areas outside the city, popular during the camping season in the cooler months.
- Khiran, on the southern coast, for beach days and water activities.
- Failaka Island, a short ferry ride from Kuwait City, for a day trip.
How to find your people
- Start with shorter, well-known trails and build up.
- Plan together: check the weather, share the route and agree a turn-back time.
- Car-share only once you know each other well; until then, travel on your own.

Good to know
Go with an experienced organiser or guide, travel in more than one car, check access and road conditions, carry plenty of water, and tell someone where you’re going.
