Circle
Photo walks: explore Kuwait with a camera and new friends
Photography turns an ordinary walk into an adventure, and a phone camera is all you need. This circle is for people who like exploring the city through a lens.
Where people do this in Kuwait City
- Kuwait Towers and the Corniche, especially at sunset.
- Souq Al Mubarakiya and the old lanes of Kuwait City.
- The Kuwait City skyline from the Gulf Road and Marina Crescent at golden hour.
How to find your people
- Pick a theme for each walk, such as doors, reflections or street life.
- Share your favourite shots afterwards and give each other a tip.
- Go at golden hour, which is also the coolest part of the day.
First plans for two
- A golden-hour walk along the Corniche
- Skyline shots from the Gulf Road after dark
- A walk around Souq Al Mubarakiya, then tea
Good to know
Always ask before photographing people, and respect signs at sites where photography is limited. Sharing photos of someone without their consent can break the law in Kuwait.
How the Photo walks circle works
Members of this circle start plans that anyone in the circle can join, like a game, a walk or a coffee, and answer one quick question a week. Plans are always in public places and arranged by members. Friendship only, for grown-ups 18 and over.
