Circle
Food explorers: find people to try new places with in Kuwait
Kuwait’s food reflects everyone who lives here, from machboos and jareesh to Levantine, Indian, Persian and Asian kitchens. This circle is for people who plan their weekends around what to eat next.
Where people do this in Kuwait City
- Souq Al Mubarakiya, known for traditional grills and old-town food.
- Salmiya and Kuwait City, with long streets of restaurants from many countries.
- Dining areas in the Avenues and other big malls, and seasonal food markets in the cooler months.
How to find your people
- Take turns choosing: each of you picks a cuisine the other hasn’t tried.
- Share dishes, so trying new places is cheaper and more fun.
- Keep a shared list of places you both want to try.
First plans for two
- A traditional Kuwaiti lunch somewhere new
- A late-evening food walk in Souq Al Mubarakiya
- A food night in Salmiya
Good to know
Agree on a budget before you go, and split the bill the way you both prefer.
