Questions, answered
Is TruFriend a dating app?
No. TruFriend is for friendships only. There is no dating mode, no swiping and no romantic matching.
How do I join?
If a member invited you, open your personal link or enter your invite code at app.trufriend.ai/join. No invite yet? Request one and we’ll send it as we open more places.
Who can join?
Grown-ups aged 18 and over who live in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait City or Cairo and want genuine friendships, activity partners or a small group to meet regularly.
Can I add plans to my calendar?
Yes. In the app, go to Account, Calendar and connect Google Calendar or Outlook. Every plan you start or join is then added for you with the place and time, and updated or removed if it changes or is cancelled. TruFriend only checks when you are busy or free, never what your other events say. Use Apple Calendar or another app? Subscribe to your private TruFriend calendar link instead.
Is it free?
Yes. Founding members join free of charge.
What does the AI do with my information?
Tru only uses what you choose to share to suggest people and plans. Your private answers are never shown to other members, and you can see, change or delete your data at any time.

Know the person you’re meeting is real
TruFriend uses lumex.id, an advanced digital identity verification platform, so members can prove they are who they say they are. A live scan of your ID, then a selfie with liveness detection and face matching, confirms you’re the real holder and 18+. Verified members get an “ID verified” badge. Your ID images are deleted once the check is done; we keep only the result.
